In Our Community

Ventura County Behavioral Health (VCBH) is in the midst of its assessments and engagement with external stakeholders and collaborating agencies, while participating in statewide listening sessions and awaiting additional guidance from the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) to inform its first BHSA Integrated Plan (IP).

What’s Included in the Integrated Plan

The proposed plan focuses on several key areas:

  • Housing: Introduces and expands housing supports through time-limited and permanent placements.

  • Full-Service Partnership (FSP) Programs and Supports: Includes evidence-based interventions such as Assertive Field-Based SUD, Assertive Community Treatment, Intensive Case Management, Individual Placement and Support, and High-Fidelity Wraparound programs.

  • Behavioral Health Services and Supports: Focuses on specialty services and early intervention programming including crisis stabilization, peer-driven recovery support, outreach to ensure timely access to services, and early intervention support for youth, adults, older adults, veterans, and underserved communities.
30-Day Public Comment and Hearing Details

At the conclusion of the 30-day comment period, the Behavioral Health Advisory Board (BHAB) will host a Public Hearing at its general meeting on May 18, 2026. Members of the community are encouraged to attend in person or virtually.
