The Ventura County Health Care Agency (HCA) is committed to keeping the public and media informed about matters that impact our community’s health and well-being. We share important updates and information while maintaining the highest standards of patient privacy.
HCA works continuously to raise public awareness about our hospitals, clinics, services, and programs through press releases, media interviews, online communications, and social media. View our latest press releases (add link to new hospital website press release page as a hyperlink)
All media inquiries should be directed to the Public Information Office during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Members of the media must be accompanied by a hospital representative while on hospital or clinic premises.
Release of Patient Information
The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), effective April 14, 2003, governs how healthcare providers may release patient information. Members of the media who anticipate working with staff at any of our facilities are asked to contact the HCA Public Information Office for guidance on HIPAA-compliant communication.
