(AED) is an important step towards improving med machine the survivability of cardiac arrest victims in other facilities within Ventura County. A combination of early 911 access, early CPR, early defibrillation and early advance care can save as a many as one-third to one-half of sudden cardiac arrest victims in treatable heart rhythms.<\/p><p>The <strong><i>shorter the time from collapse to defibrillation<\/i><\/strong>, the better the chances of survival. The new AEDs are safe, effective, lightweight, low maintenance, and easy to use. Training takes two to four hours and established training programs are available.<\/p><p>We encourage any organization to consider becoming an AED provider.
