data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200bThe California Children&#8217;s Services (CCS) Medical Therapy Program (MTP) provides occupational and physical therapy services to children birth to 21 years of age who have medically\u00a0<a class=\"no-background hoverBg\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dhcs.ca.gov\/services\/ccs\/Pages\/MTP.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">eligible conditions<\/a>. Therapy is provided without cost to the family, regardless of income, at the Medical Therapy Unit (MTU).<\/p><p>Referrals to the MTP can be made by anyone (i.e.,\u00a0a parent, teacher, school nurse, or physician).<\/p><ul><li><p>CCS Application &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/hca.venturacounty.gov\/public-health\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2024\/03\/applicationenglish-1-.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">English<\/a> | <a href=\"https:\/\/hca.venturacounty.gov\/public-health\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2024\/03\/applicationspanish-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Spanish<\/a><\/p><\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Goals<\/strong><\/p><ul><li><p>Work with families to help children maximize independence with life skills.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Provide occupational and physical therapy to children who have chronic, long-term physically handicapping conditions.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Services<\/strong><br \/>Services are provided in the MTU in select public school sites. Services include:<\/p><ul><li><p>Medical Therapy Conferences to coordinate therapy needs.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Occupational\/physical therapy.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Consultation for equipment needs.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p>Our physicians and therapists work with parents or guardians to develop a Medical Therapy Plan tailored to the child&#8217;s specific needs. Occupational and\/or physical therapy are approved and prescribed as needed by the physician and are provided at each MTU in the program.<\/p><p><strong>Who is Eligible?<\/strong><br \/>A child is eligible for the MTP if he or she:<\/p><ul><li><p>Is under 21 years of age and,<\/p><\/li><li><p>Has a long-term condition, such as (but not limited to): cerebral palsy, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, rheumatoid arthritis, spinal cord injuries, arthrogryposis, and osteogenesis imperfecta and,<\/p><\/li><li><p>Has a parent or guardian who resides in Ventura
