Surge Exercise<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f4b6602 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f4b6602\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5 role=\"heading\" data-uw-rm-heading=\"level\"><span style=\"color: inherit;font-family: inherit;font-size: 17 px\"><b>Upcoming MRSE: March 12, 2026<\/b><br \/>Previous MRSE: May 21, 2025<\/span><\/h5><p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/aspr.hhs.gov\/HealthCareReadiness\/guidance\/MRSE\/Documents\/MRSE-Fact-Sheet-20JAN22-508.pdf\" data-uw-pdf-br=\"2\" data-uw-pdf-doc=\"\" aria-label=\"Medical Response and Surge Exercise (MRSE)\" data-uw-rm-empty-ctrl=\"\"><b><i>Medical Response and Surge Exercise (MRSE)<\/i><\/b><\/a> is a functional exercise designed to examine and evaluate the ability of a healthcare coalition to support a medical surge equal to at least 10% of the coalition\u2019s med\/surge bed capacity.\u00a0Placing stress on the health system is important for testing current response systems,\u00a0identifying\u00a0gaps in preparedness, and informing improvement planning. The MRSE is an operations-based functional exercise designed to test and evaluate capabilities and functions while in a realistic, real-time environment. There will be NO ACTUAL MOVEMENT of patients or resources.<\/p><p><b>Objective: <\/b>Test a 10% surge of the county&#8217;s bed capacity<br \/><b><br \/>Participation: <\/b>All VCHCC members are encouraged to participate by submitting a Situation Report (SitRep) or through the ReddiNet TEST site (if applicable).<\/p><p>Registration is<span style=\"font-style: italic\"> required <\/span>for a Certificate of Participation.<\/p><p>We encourage organizations to utilize this opportunity for internal exercises\/drills as well.
