data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-345 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/hca.venturacounty.gov\/public-health\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2024\/03\/med_machine.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"183\" height=\"170\" \/>Former County Supervisor Judy Mikels recognized the need for automated external defibrillators in County facilities and directed EMS to convene a workgroup to develop such an AED program. The Board of Supervisors approved the allocation of tobacco settlement funding for an initial implementation phase of 50 AED units in County facilities.\u00a0<\/p><p>This component of the County&#8217;s AED Program is built on County of Ventura employee participation.
