Equity Measures Report
California law (Assembly Bill 1204) requires hospitals to share information about the quality of care and patient outcomes across different groups of patients, such as age, race/ethnicity, language, and insurance type. Each year, hospitals must submit a report to the state that highlights areas where differences in care exist and outline plans to improve equity. These reports are posted publicly by the state and each hospital, so that patients and the community can see how hospitals are working to ensure fair and equitable care for all.
